These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners SE16 provides professional carpet and related cleaning services. By making a booking, using our services, or allowing our operatives to access your premises, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means any individual, consumer, tenant, homeowner, landlord, business or other party who requests or receives services from Carpet Cleaners SE16.

Company means Carpet Cleaners SE16, the provider of cleaning services.

Services means carpet cleaning and any additional or related cleaning services offered by the Company from time to time, including but not limited to upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, stain treatment, and related cleaning tasks.

Premises means the property or location at which the Services are to be carried out.

Operatives means employees, subcontractors or authorised agents of the Company who attend the Premises to perform the Services.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides professional carpet cleaning and related services in the SE16 area and nearby locations. The specific Services to be provided on any occasion will be as agreed at the time of booking and confirmed in the booking confirmation.

The Company reserves the right to refuse or discontinue any work if it considers that the Premises are unsafe, the work requested is unreasonable, or the Client fails to provide accurate information or suitable access.

The Client acknowledges that certain stains, marks, odours, and wear may be permanent and that the Company does not guarantee complete removal of all stains or full restoration of carpets, rugs or upholstery.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings can be made by the Client through the Companys approved booking channels as advertised by the Company from time to time.

3.2 At the time of booking, the Client will be asked to provide accurate details, including but not limited to the address of the Premises, type and approximate size of areas to be cleaned, preferred service date and time, any parking or access restrictions, and any specific concerns relating to the condition of the carpets or other items.

3.3 The Company may provide an estimated quote based on the information supplied by the Client. This quote is subject to confirmation following inspection by the Operatives on arrival at the Premises. If the actual condition or size of the areas to be cleaned differs significantly from the information given, the Company reserves the right to amend the price accordingly.

3.4 A booking is deemed confirmed only when the Client has received explicit confirmation from the Company. The Company may, at its discretion, request a deposit or full prepayment to secure the booking.

3.5 The Client is responsible for ensuring that any person acting on their behalf is authorised to make the booking and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

4. Access to the Premises

4.1 The Client must ensure that the Operatives have safe and timely access to the Premises at the agreed date and time. This includes access to parking where reasonably possible, access codes, keys or entry instructions, and removal of obstacles that might prevent efficient performance of the Services.

4.2 If access is not available or is significantly delayed due to circumstances within the Clients control, the Company may charge a call-out fee or a proportion of the service cost, or may treat the visit as a late cancellation.

4.3 The Client must ensure that electricity and water are available at the Premises during the appointment. Failure to provide these may result in incomplete Services and may incur additional charges.

5. Client Responsibilities

5.1 The Client is responsible for removing fragile items, small furniture and personal belongings from the areas to be cleaned before the arrival of the Operatives, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5.2 The Client must inform the Company at the time of booking of any existing damage, high-value items, unusual fabrics, or specific requirements relating to carpets, rugs or upholstery.

5.3 The Client is responsible for supervising children, pets and other occupants during the Services and must ensure they remain safely away from equipment, chemicals and wet surfaces.

5.4 The Client must not walk on freshly cleaned carpets with outdoor footwear until the surfaces are fully dry, in order to prevent re-soiling and potential slipping hazards.

6. Pricing and Payments

6.1 Unless otherwise stated, all prices are quoted in pounds sterling and may be subject to applicable taxes.

6.2 Prices are based on the information supplied by the Client and the standard service description. Additional work, heavily soiled areas, severe staining, or unexpected conditions may result in extra charges, which will be explained to the Client as soon as reasonably possible.

6.3 The Company may require a deposit or full prepayment at the time of booking. Any balance outstanding is typically due on completion of the Services on the day of the visit, unless otherwise agreed.

6.4 Payment methods accepted by the Company will be advised to the Client in advance or at the time of booking. The Client agrees to pay all amounts due promptly and without set-off or deduction.

6.5 If payment is not received when due, the Company reserves the right to charge reasonable interest and administrative fees for late payment and may take appropriate steps to recover any outstanding amounts.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

7.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving the Company reasonable notice. The minimum notice period required for cancellation or rescheduling without charge will be stated in the booking confirmation or other communication from the Company.

7.2 If the Client cancels or reschedules with less than the required notice, the Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to a specified percentage of the quoted service cost or a fixed call-out charge, reflecting the Companys lost time and allocation of resources.

7.3 If the Operatives arrive at the Premises and are unable to gain access, or if the Client is not present to provide entry where required, this may be treated as a late cancellation and attract the applicable fee.

7.4 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking where necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, such as staff illness, equipment failure, severe weather or other events beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, the Company will endeavour to offer an alternative appointment as soon as practicable and will not be liable for any consequential loss.

8. Service Quality and Complaints

8.1 The Company aims to provide Services with reasonable skill and care. If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, the Client must notify the Company as soon as reasonably possible, and in any event within a reasonable period after completion of the work.

8.2 The Client should provide clear details and, where possible, photographic evidence of the issue. The Company may request to inspect the affected areas and, where appropriate, may arrange a re-clean or other remedial action.

8.3 The Companys liability to re-clean or remedy any issue is subject to the Client having complied with these Terms and Conditions, including following aftercare advice and not attempting to rectify issues with incompatible cleaning products or methods.

9. Liability and Limitations

9.1 The Company will perform the Services with reasonable skill and care and will take reasonable measures to protect the Clients property. However, the Client acknowledges that the use of cleaning agents, machinery and processes carries some inherent risk to certain materials and that pre-existing wear, fading, weak fibres or hidden damage may be exposed by cleaning.

9.2 The Company shall not be liable for any damage or deterioration to items that were already worn, faded, rotten, loose, weakened, previously stained, or otherwise in poor condition before the Services commenced, or where the Client has failed to inform the Company of special care requirements.

9.3 The Companys total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the value of the specific service in question or an amount otherwise agreed with the Client, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

9.4 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of use, loss of opportunity, or any costs arising from delays, cancelled tenancies or similar circumstances.

9.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Companys liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

10. Damage, Breakages and Insurance

10.1 The Company endeavours to handle the Clients property with care. In the unlikely event of accidental damage or breakage directly caused by the Operatives, the Client must report the incident to the Company as soon as reasonably possible, and in any event within a reasonable time after discovery.

10.2 The Company may, at its discretion, repair the damage, arrange for a third party to repair or replace the item, or offer a fair compensation payment taking into account the age, condition, and value of the item.

10.3 The Client agrees to give the Company a reasonable opportunity to inspect any alleged damage and, where relevant, to make an insurance claim. Failure to allow such inspection or cooperation may limit the Companys obligation to remedy the issue.

11. Waste, Disposal and Environmental Regulations

11.1 The Company endeavours to operate in compliance with applicable waste and environmental regulations. Where Services generate waste such as used cleaning materials, packaging or removed debris, disposal will be carried out in a lawful and responsible manner.

11.2 The Client is responsible for any household or commercial waste that falls outside the scope of our standard cleaning Services, such as large items of furniture, hazardous waste or specialist disposal requirements, unless expressly agreed in advance.

11.3 The Client agrees not to request the Company or its Operatives to dispose of waste in an unlawful manner, including fly-tipping or use of unauthorised sites. The Company reserves the right to refuse any request that would put it in breach of environmental or waste laws or regulations.

11.4 Where required, any transfer or handling of waste will be conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, and the Client agrees to cooperate with any reasonable measures the Company must take to comply with such regulations.

12. Health and Safety

12.1 The Company is committed to maintaining high health and safety standards for its Operatives and Clients. The Client agrees to support the maintenance of a safe working environment at the Premises.

12.2 Operatives may refuse to perform tasks they consider unsafe, unreasonable or beyond the agreed scope of Services. The Client must ensure that any known risks, including loose electrical fittings, slippery surfaces or other hazards, are communicated in advance.

12.3 Certain cleaning products and equipment may produce temporary odours, moisture, or noise. The Client should consider this when arranging access to the Premises and is responsible for keeping vulnerable individuals, pets and sensitive items away from treated areas during and immediately after the cleaning.

13. Data Protection and Privacy

13.1 The Company may collect and process personal data relating to the Client for the purpose of managing bookings, providing Services, taking payment and handling enquiries or complaints.

13.2 The Company will take reasonable steps to protect personal data and will not sell or disclose Client data to unrelated third parties except where required to provide the Services, to comply with legal obligations, or with the Clients consent.

14. Changes to Terms and Conditions

14.1 The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect when posted on the Companys legal or information pages or otherwise notified to Clients.

14.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of booking will apply to that particular booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services provided by the Company shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services, subject to any mandatory rights the Client may have as a consumer to bring proceedings in other competent courts.

16. General Provisions

16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court or competent authority, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16.2 Failure or delay by the Company in enforcing any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of any of its rights.

16.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the provision of the Services, and supersede any prior discussions, correspondence or understandings, whether written or oral, except where additional written terms have been expressly agreed.
